Half Time On the Quad
Role: Reporter
Half Time on the Quad took place on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, where students had the chance to come to take a break from midterms and enjoy a day of fun right before fall break. I interviewed the Student Representative to the Board of Visitors, Xavier Williams, to find out more about how he put together the event for students to enjoy.
Gus Bus
Role: Reporter
On January 23, 2023, an email was sent out to James Madison University students about a volunteer opportunity. Where students would have the chance to volunteer by tutoring grades K-Fifth grade with the Gus Bus, a classroom on wheels. I interviewed The Gus Bus Program Director, Rachel Gagliardi, to learn more about what JMU students would be volunteering for and about the Gus Buses.
Merge Coffee
Role: Reporter
On Febuary 8, 2023 I interviewed a student name Genny Day to learn more about Merge Coffee. Merge Coffee is a company -named after two families who combined their cultures and talent, and expanded thier company from Downtown Harrisonburg to the James Madison University campus. This way the company would have the chance to build new relationships with JMU Students.
JMZoo
Role: Reporter
Hosted by the James Madison University Program Board, the JMZoo took place on Wednesday, April 23, 2023, where students had a chance to take a break from registering for class and pet some cute farm animals. In addition, there was also a raffle drawing in order to win a meet and greet with Stephen Kramer Glickman, who played Gustavo on Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush. I interviewed the University Program Boards Activities Director, Meghan Benish, to find out more about the JMZoo and the raffle itself.
