For this project, my partners and I wanted to communicate to students that Momo Hub Nepail style dumplings are a new way for them to spend time with people because nothing brings people together like food! Especially when the food is delicious. Our overall concept was to take the “Mo” from Momo, and shorten it to replace the word “more”. In both our print and OOH, “Find mo ways…” is used to intrigue students, to make them think about what else is out there, besides the continuous cycle of homework and classes, and link it to "mo" in Momo Hub. The language of these ads helps capture the target audience's attention, by using slang which is shown by using "yo" instead of "your" throughout the areas of the body copy. We decided to keep the slang consistent throughout both of the ads for brand recognition. For the search bar idea, we emphasized the word searching. As young adults, we are always “searching” for the answers and exploring “mo” ways to do things, so why not do them with Momo Hub? We also invited the audience to find #MOwaystomomo in this campaign to acquire more social media engagement.
About This Project
What?
Created print and out-of-home (OOH) advertisements for a Nepail Style Dumpling food truck. The client was Momo Hub, a food truck known for its Nepail Style Dumplings, especially their chill momo.
Who?
For this project, we targeted James Madison University students who are very stressed and do not have a lot of free time in their days. When they do have free time, they like spending it with their friends and family. College students also enjoy eating out, where they prefer quick options, like pick up and carry out. The students also tend to have lower incomes (if any) so they prefer more affordable options.
Big Idea
Momo Hub is a great way to bring students together to enjoy dinner with friends, have study sessions over dinner, etc.
